Weekends in KC: October 3-5

Hoots & Howls: Take your kids to the Kansas City Zoo this weekend for some Halloween fun. October 4th and 5th hosts Hoots & Howls, a kid-friendly Halloween event. Kansas Speedway: This weekend is booked solid at Kansas Speedway. On Friday, watch practice runs for both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series, qualifying races for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and an ARCA Race. Saturday hosts the Kansas Lottery 300 of the NASCAR Nationwide Series and Sunday is the Hollywood Casino 400, the fourth Race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Kansas City Renaissance Festival: This weekend the Renfest celebrates the Wonders of the World. American Royal: The 35th Annual World Series of Barbecue® takes place this weekend at the American Royal.
