Weekends in KC: April 24-26

Another weekend hits Kansas City, and there is no shortage of fun events to enjoy. Take a chance and try out one of the festivals below.

MIDDLE OF THE MAP FEST: The last weekend of the Middle of the Map Fest is all about the music. Celebrating the art and creativity of the Midwest, this year’s fest features over 120 musicians. Head over to www.middleofthemapfest.com for a full list of bands, venues, showtimes and tickets.

BEER FESTIVALS: This Saturday is host to two different beer festivals: The Kansas City On Tap Craft Beer Festival and the 12th Annual Parkville Microbrew Fest. The Kansas City On Tap Craft Beer Festival will have 100+ beers to sample at Riverfront Park from 2:30-6:00pm. 8TH ANNUAL CHALK WALK FESTIVAL: This Saturday and Sunday, Concourse Park will be transformed into a colorful canvas during the Chalk Walk Festival. This free event allows artists of all levels to create their own masterpiece as they support the local community. GET YOUR GREEN ON AT CITY MARKET: The City Market celebrates Earth Day this Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Observe a beehive, shop decor made from repurposed items, get organic gardening tips, recycle old electronics with Surplus Exchange, enjoy a concert with “Eco Elvis and The Extraordinaires” and more.
