​Weekends in Kansas City: April 3-5

There is no shortage of fun to be found on Easter weekend in Kansas City. No matter how you plan to celebrate the holiday, there are plenty of great events to try.

FIRST FRIDAYS: Get your weekend started off with First Fridays at the Crossroads district. This growing Kansas City tradition starts at 5pm, so get out to enjoy the many art galleries, studios, street music, live theater and more from KC’s art scene. the Northland this Saturday for Parkville Cruise Nights. See beautiful cars while listening to tunes from yesteryear, shop some of Parkville’s local stores and try out some of the local eateries. Held from 4-8pm at the Historic Downtown Parkville Farmers Market, this Cruise Night was voted as the best in the Northland. SPORTING KANSAS CITY VS. PHILADELPHIA UNION: Soccer fans may want to celebrate Easter early, as this Sunday, Sporting KC faces off against Philadelphia Union at Sporting
Park. The game starts at 6:00pm, but fans will want to get to the stadium early. Courtesy of adidas, the first 10,000 fans inside the gates will receive a commemorative Dom Dwyer poster. Find more information and order tickets from www.sportingkc.com.

EASTER: There are numerous Easter events happening all across the metro. Children can get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny at Crown Center from 12-4pm on Friday and Saturday (www.crowncenter.com/Event-List/easter-bunny). Join Ollie the Otter and the Easter Bunny for egg hunts at 10:30am
and 1pm at Paradise Park on Saturday (www.paradise-park.com/ollies-egg-hunt). At 11am sharp, Louisburg Cider Mill hosts their 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday (www.louisburgcidermill.com/?page_id=3237). Powell Gardens also has their egg hunt at 11am on Saturday (www.powellgardens.org/Easter#.VRwaz5PF_rM). The 2nd Annual Easter Eggstravaganza starts at 10am on Saturday at Union Station (www.unionstation.org/sciencecity/events/easter-eggstravaganza). The town of Excelsior Springs holds an easter egg hunt on Saturday at 10am (www.exspgschamber.com/e-calendar.html).
