Weekends in KC: October 31-November 2

It’s Halloween weekend, but Kansas City has plenty to do besides trick-or-treating. Check out the following events to make your weekend plans.

7th Annual Halloween Festival: If you are looking for a Halloween party to attend, Power & Light has you covered. One of the largest parties in KC, there will be 13 different theme parties spread across 13 venues. This Halloween bash will have a $5,000 Costume Contest at midnight, so make sure to wear your best costume. For more information, go to www.powerandlightdistrict.com.

ArtsKC Live!: If Halloween isn’t your thing, Power & Light has an arts festival on November 1st. This free event takes place from noon to 6pm. The best artists and performers from KC will showcase their talent on the on the KC Live! Stage. From 3-6pm, take part in a Wicked Wine Walk to enjoy wine tastings and small plates. Centennial Celebration at Union Station: Union Station celebrates its 100 year anniversary this year, and this weekend is the unveiling of a brand new interactive history display. This free, permanent exhibit opens on October 31st. Union Station also hosts a number of events November 1st and 2nd, including Family Day at Science City and Sprint Festival Plaza.
