Weekends in KC: October 24-26

It’s an exciting time for Kansas City with the Royals in the World Series and Halloween just around the corner. Get out and celebrate this weekend with one of the following events.

Royals Watch Parties: Looking for somewhere to watch the Royals this weekend? Kansas City Live! in the Power & Light District will have both games playing this weekend on their giant LED screen. For a more upscale setting, Gram & Dun on the Plaza will also have the games on at their patio and bar. If you are looking for cheap food to go along with the game, check out Westport Flea Market. They are celebrating the Royals postseason run with a $2.99 Flea Burger and Fries special, the price the burgers sold for the last time the Royals won the World Series. Visitwww.powerandlightdistrict.com, www.gramanddun.com and www.westportfleamarket.com for details.

Boo at the Zoo: Get your Halloween costumes on this Saturday and Sunday for trick-or-treating at the KC Zoo. Between 9:30am to 5pm, kids can enjoy Halloween activities and entertainment, including the Boneyard Graveyard and a hay bale maze to explore. Come early to get a free backpack to store all of your candy. Get more information at www.kansascityzoo.org.

Trunk or Treat: Another option for trick-or-treating this weekend can be found at the Kansas City Automotive Museum. From 5 to 6:30pm on Saturday, view classic cars of all years, makes, and models while gathering candy. Be sure to bring canned goods to donate to Harvesters, the sponsor for this event.
