Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The 25th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s took place over the weekend in Overland Park. Serving as a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association, the walk helps to bring awareness to the community about the disease. Many families have been affected by this devastating disease, including some of our employees here at Croft. That is why Croft decided to donate to this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Fundraising for Alzheimer’s is important for many reasons, it is a chance for families to gather together to gain support from others as well as raise awareness. The Kansas City Star reported that 5,000 people joined together at this year’s walk to raise over $500,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s Association provides care & support, advances research and advocates to make Alzheimer’s a national priority. Until the day that a cure for Alzheimer’s is found, organizations like this are invaluable for families. If you and your family are in need of support in dealing with Alzheimer’s, visit www.alz.org.
